Open-source, from-scratch Rust applications, and a real alternative to the creative suite the family was renting. They run right here in the browser — nothing to install, nothing to sign in to, and every file you edit stays on your own device.
.xmp files, a LightCraft bundle that keeps the groups,
and a ready library file. Same pack, three shapes — load it in LightCraft's desktop app or in Lightroom.

Every one of these is MIT OR Apache-2.0, written from scratch in Rust by the ArtCraft project, and self-hosted here for the family. The browser builds are the project's own release artifacts, served as released — with one family default applied: the video editors open a blank project instead of the publisher's demo footage, so new work starts from nothing and nobody has to clear a showcase first.
Editing happens in your browser, on your own machine — nothing is uploaded to a server. How your work survives depends on the app: FilmCraft, EffectCraft, VectorCraft and LightCraft keep a recovery copy in the browser itself, so a reload brings the work back; the others hold the document in the tab, and there Save or Export is what writes a real file (those apps say so the first time you open them). On the Craft workstation you never have to think about it: every open app is saved automatically every few minutes, each save becomes a version on the family NAS, and the browser's own recovery copies are mirrored there too — so a restart cannot cost you work. Save points live in the Craft Vault — drop a saved file there and every version is kept on the family NAS, restorable from any device (that one needs the family sign-in).
ArtCraft and the individual app names are the ArtCraft project's marks. This is their software, self-hosted for the family — the full credit and licence notices ship with each app.
Two tiles on this page are not part of that suite. Canva Alt is OpenDesign by the OpenClaw project, MIT, and written in JavaScript (Preact + Fabric.js) rather than Rust. Ref Board is ours — a reference/collage canvas with PureRef's workflow, and its desktop counterpart mirrors BeeRef (GPL-3.0), so heavy source formats like PSD, EXR and camera RAW still have a home. Both keep their work on the family cluster instead of in your browser, so they ask for the family sign-in — everything else here stays on your own device.
Ref Board's desktop counterpart is mirrored here as well: Ref Board — desktop (BeeRef) — the same canvas as an installable application for Windows, Linux and macOS, for the PSD, EXR, HEIC and camera RAW files a browser cannot open.
