CoD SPLIT SCREEN - two PS4 controllers, one PC
=================================================

WHAT THIS DOES
--------------
Two PlayStation 4 controllers, one PC, local co-op in Call of Duty.
The installer sets up everything - you never edit a config file.

* ViGEmBus - virtual controller driver (Windows sees an Xbox pad per PS4 pad)
* HidHide - hides the raw PS4 pad from games so you never get double input
* DS4Windows - translates each PS4 controller into its own Xbox pad (pad 1, pad 2)
* .NET 8     - what DS4Windows runs on
* firewall - game rules pre-allowed, so no popup ever interrupts you
* desktop - a "CoD Split Screen" folder with one icon per game

HOW TO INSTALL (one time, about two minutes)
---------------------------------------------
1. Download the four Call of Duty games from Drop first, if you have not already.
2. Right-click "Install-CoD-SplitScreen.cmd"  ->  Run as administrator.
   (Double-clicking works too - it asks for permission itself.)
3. Wait for "Installer finished". Two PS4 controllers can be plugged in before
   or after; USB is the most reliable, Bluetooth works too.

HOW TO PLAY
-----------
1. Plug in / pair both PS4 controllers. The light bar on each one turns on.
2. Open the "CoD Split Screen" folder on the desktop.
3. Pick the game.

World at War / Black Ops (split-screen is built into the game):
   player 1 presses X (Cross) on controller 1 -> picks the mode -> zombies -> map
   player 2 presses X on controller 2 once the match is loaded -> screen splits

Black Ops II and Advanced Warfare on PC have NO split-screen code in them.
Two pads are ready, but those two titles need two game windows side by side
(the Nucleus Co-Op route) - ask and that gets added.

CONTROLS
--------
Standard Call of Duty layout. Left stick moves, right stick looks, R2 fires,
L2 aims, X jumps, Circle crouches, Square reloads, Triangle swaps weapon,
Options pauses. Both controllers use the same layout - that is the whole point
of DS4Windows mapping them to Xbox pads.

IF SOMETHING LOOKS WRONG
------------------------
* Controller not detected: unplug and replug. DS4Windows sits in the tray
  (blue icon) - open it and the Controllers tab shows what it sees.
* Game sees no controller: make sure DS4Windows is running (it starts with
  Windows automatically; look for the tray icon).
* Re-run the installer any time - it is safe, it only fills in what is missing.
* Install log: C:\ProgramData\CoD-SplitScreen\install.log

Everything this installer creates lives in C:\ProgramData\CoD-SplitScreen.
To remove it: delete that folder, delete the "CoD Split Screen" folder on the
desktop, and delete the scheduled task "CoD Split Screen - DS4Windows".
